Crit Ratio in gen 7 - Pokémon US & UM

Hi,
So recently there was some datamining done and apparently ever since Sun and Moon, is it soo funny ? the base crit ratio has actually been lowered! As shown in this Serebii Article in Generation 7 Gamefreak actually lowered the critical hit ratio and it apparently went undiscovered. Thoughts on this? Does this make you nuzlockers feel a bit better?

Please help.
